Of course it's raining, this is the Pacific Northwest!

Seriously though... we have wonderfully warm, sunny summers here. But during much of the rest of the year, it very well may be raining to some degree at the time of your coaching session.

Coaching can be done in the rain, but I find many people are less than enthusiastic. Besides just not liking to trudge around in the rain, a major reason rainy coaching sessions are problematic is that rain hampers note-taking. Paper, ink, water... not a good combination.

So... when it’s time for me to get into my car to drive to your location, if it’s raining or has been raining up until that point, I’ll call you. We can decide to go forward with our meeting or re-schedule. In many cases, coaching can be done from under wide eaves or a covered patio, or dashing in and out of the house between showers. I can be flexible.

The same policy as above goes in cases of very chilly temperatures (45°F or below) or if it’s snowing. It's difficult to take notes with frozen fingers.

Also, it's not good to trample on water-saturated soil... even if it’s just lawn. If you want to schedule a coaching session in late winter or very early spring, please assess your situation for sogginess. I want to help you, but I don't want to do damage to your garden in the process.
